Poverty and Social Development

GDSI has considerable experience in the formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of social policies in a variety of socio-economic and political environments. We have carried out surveys on poverty and inequality and have designed specific social protection policies for marginalised and vulnerable groups such as single mothers, low income families, the elderly, disabled, etc. We have accumulated significant experience in pension reforms in a variety of developing and emerging economies.

GDSI has implemented large international technical assistance projects to improve quality and access to child care, health care, education and social protection. We have similarly provided significant supports to building the effectiveness of civil society organisations that are active in these fields.

Special experience, both in terms of policy formulation and implementation, has been accumulated in:
